YO MY CRACKA, M. LAMAR, 2017

Yo My Cracka, was composed as a part of Surveillance Punishment and the Black Psyche which has been presented as an evening length multimedia performance for voice and piano as well as an album. The video is a major part of the forthcoming feature film Deathlessness. Yo My Cracka was filmed at One Archive and was first shown as a part of the Funeral Doom Spiritual Exhibition at One which opened in April of 2017. The video is in part a response to the work of photographer Miles Everrett who exclusively produced erotic images of black men. - M. Lamar
